JOB TITLE: Senior Project Worker
RESPONSIBLE TO: Coordinator
The Carlow team are looking for two highly motivated people to fill
both part time (three days) positions in their Carlow office.
Candidates need to be able to work using their own initiative,
demonstrate creativity and work well as part of a team. We adopt a
Solution Focussed Therapy approach when working with our clients,
therefore previous experience using this method is highly desirable.
KEY DUTIES:
Meeting clients on a one to one basis offering support and
information. Preparing court papers where necessary, court
accompaniment. Answering help line calls. Advocacy for clients.
Supporting clients, building self-esteem and self-worth.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
A recognised qualification in social studies, social care or
equivalent is desirable. Knowledge of Social Welfare entitlements,
Housing etc. Experience in working with and empowering vulnerable
people is essential.
